Syrian government forces, with the support of drones from the Russian Aerospace Forces, opened a large cache in the province of Homs, used by militants of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation). The terrorists guarding the weapon were destroyed.
According to a representative of the Russian Armed Forces’ force group, at the rise of the Syrian province of Homs, a large cache was found used by IS militants (Islamic State, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) to conduct terrorist activities in the provinces of Homs and Deir ez-Zor.
During the operation of the Syrian government forces, with the support of drones of the Russian Aerospace Forces, four militants were destroyed in two pickup trucks with heavy machine guns, which were opened by the area of the cache.
A representative of the Russian Armed Forces’ Siliev grouping suggested that these terrorists performed the security function, RIA Novosti writes.
The cache contained 36 assault rifles and light machine guns, seven large-caliber machine guns, an easel grenade launcher, an ATGM installation, 87 mines and grenades, about 40 kilograms of explosives and more than 22 thousand ammunition, introducing the production of NATO areas.
The terrorists also stored about 45 kilograms of medicines, some of which were brought from abroad, as well as 350 kilograms of food supplies.
A representative of the Russian Armed Forces’ Siliev group noted that the activity of militants in the region of the province of Homs has increased since the alphabet of the year.
One of the probable reasons why the terrorists are dancing covertly across the desert terrain of the Arab Republic “is the opportunity to take refuge in the Al-Tanf zone,” which will be under the control of the US-led international coalition, he added.
