5 billion rubles will be allocated for the construction of an ice arena in Nizhny Novgorod

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of 5 billion rubles over the next three years for the construction of an ice arena in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported in the press service of the Cabinet.

The government report says that the complex in Nizhny Novgorod will occupy almost 70,000 square meters. On its territory there will be a hockey rink with stands for 12,000 spectators, a small ice rink for 200 spectators, a gym and gyms.

“In the future, local sports teams will train here, all-Russian and international championships and competitions will be held,” the Cabinet said.

In total, the construction of the sports complex will require almost 11 billion rubles. The project will also be financed by private investors. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2024.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers allocated almost 92 billion rubles for the overhaul and equipping of schools.
