4 Ways to Train Your Brain to Reduce the Impact of Negative Thoughts

There is great power hidden in thoughts. Look around: everything you see is the embodiment of someone’s thoughts. Sometimes we underestimate the ability of thoughts to manifest in our lives, which is why it is so important to monitor negative thoughts.

Did you know that love, happiness, success, and everything you want is already in you… but hidden in the depths?
The only thing keeping you from living the life you want is your negative thoughts. But you don’t have to submit to them.

Here are 4 easy steps to get rid of them once and for all:

1. Understand that negative thoughts are intruders.

Most often, negative thoughts appear as if from nowhere. Everything seemed to be going well, and then BAM! – Terrible thoughts fill your brain, and your hands drop by themselves. When these intruders enter your brain, acknowledge them. They won’t leave until you open the door for them and let them in.

But that doesn’t mean you have to be nice to them. Thoughts are easy to get attached to. Usually it happens like this: you find a rational grain in the negative, and then you build other considerations on top.

To prevent this from happening, recognize outsiders in these thoughts. You can see them, but you don’t have to talk to them. Detachment is the first step to getting rid of negativity in life. In this way, you avoid a strong emotional reaction, but at the same time you do not ignore the negative.

2. Find the Root of Negative Thoughts

So, you acknowledged the negative thoughts and emotionally detached from them to protect your condition. Now it’s time for reflections.

You don’t have to do it right away, but you should think about where these negative thoughts come from. This step is especially important for consolidating the results.

Here are some common reasons for negative thoughts:

  • Negative mindset – When you constantly have a negative attitude towards everything, negative thoughts overwhelm you on their own.
  • Fear – Unresolved fear can cause negativity.
  • Anxiety is a physical and emotional reaction, but it can cause negative thoughts.
  • Negative people – surrounded by negative people, thoughts will be appropriate.
  • And also: sadness, jealousy, guilt, complexes and much more.

The only way to understand the cause for sure is to reflect on the unresolved issues in your life. If you continue to avoid them, it will be almost impossible to get rid of negative thoughts.

3. Change your body language

The previous steps dealt with the inner world, tangible but invisible. Now let’s look at the external manifestations of negative thoughts.

It’s no secret that the muscles involved in smiling send substances to the brain that relieve stress and relax the body. Similarly, you can trick the brain with body language into letting go of negative thoughts and feelings.

The connection between the body and the brain is amazing: the mind will begin to relax after the body, letting go of negative thoughts and energy.

Conversely, negative body language breeds negative thoughts. Crossing your arms or legs, trying to hide your mouth while talking, pointing fingers all create negativity. The brain receives signals of stress, and you lose the ability to recognize negative thoughts.

4. Learn self-hypnosis

Self-hypnosis refers to your inner voice, which constantly tells you how to relate to different things. And this voice does not stop, even if you do not agree with it. It’s time to rein him in.

To permanently get rid of negative thoughts, you must consciously reprogram the inner voice. The idea is to be honest and gentle.

At the initial stage, you can even write a small script and rehearse it in a transport or queue.

Negative thoughts will not find a place in your head under the pressure of positive self-hypnosis.

Remember: if you have power over your thoughts, you have power over everything!
