The Chinese publication 360kuai published an article in which it claims that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, are playing a “hidden game against the United States.” And this, according to the authors, is one of the reasons why Ankara refuses to agree to the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO (the second and publicized reason is the support of Kurdish activists by the authorities of these countries – author).

“There is a very dangerous situation in Europe today. Erdogan, as a cunning and powerful president, decided to make his move against the West,” the authors from China argue.

It is noted that against the background of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Washington began to actively invite Finland and Sweden into the ranks of NATO, which not only does not contribute to de-escalation, but threatens to “bring the situation to a critical point.”

According to journalists, it was the possible membership in the Alliance of the two countries that allowed Turkey and the Russian Federation to find common ground and create a tandem. Now Erdogan and Putin are “together playing a game against the United States under the noses of NATO.”
