2 thousand people took part in illegal action in Moscow

The uncoordinated rally on January 31 in the center of Moscow was attended by about two thousand people. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The participants in the illegal rally began to gather at 12 noon. At 14:30, about two thousand people, including representatives of the media, took part in the uncoordinated event, according to the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The press service of the police department noted that 600 people tried to walk the streets of the city. Law enforcement agencies continue to maintain order, the department said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office have repeatedly warned about responsibility for participation in illegal rallies. For this, administrative responsibility is threatened.

Some participants in the illegal action are trying to provoke the police and use force. Law enforcement officers detain them.

Criminal liability is provided for the use of force against a law enforcement officer. Under the relevant article of the Criminal Code, the guilty person faces up to 15 years in prison.

Recall that experts note a decrease in the number of participants in illegal actions on January 31 compared to January 23. Thus, in Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, several 100 people each took part in uncoordinated rallies. In other cities, several dozen people took part in the actions.
