19 aircraft with peacekeepers and equipment from Kazakhstan arrived in Russia

19 aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces with peacekeepers and equipment on board returned to the Chkalovsky airfield from Kazakhstan. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, 18 Il-76 aircraft and one An-124 Ruslan aircraft with peacekeepers from the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO returned from Kazakhstan. The press service of the Ministry of Defense clarified that the twentieth An-124 Ruslan aircraft took off from Alma-Ata.

A solemn meeting will be organized for military personnel, the department added. At the end of the solemn rally, the military will unload the aircraft and march to the point of permanent deployment.

Recall that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, amid protests in the republic, turned to his CSTO partners for help. On January 6, peacekeepers from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan arrived in the country. Last Thursday, January 13, the withdrawal of troops from the country began, which will last until January 19.
